British actor Tim Curry, known for his roles in "It," "Home Alone," and "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," has died at the age of 80, according to infohub.kz.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that on Tuesday evening they received a call from a home in the North Hollywood area where a man in his 80s was found. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Curry was born on April 19, 1946, in England. His acting career began in theater, and he gained worldwide fame for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
He later played Pennywise in the television adaptation of Stephen King's "It," the butler Wadsworth in the comedy "Clue," the Lord of Darkness in "Legend," and also appeared in "Home Alone."
Curry also worked in television, theater, and voice acting. In 2012, he suffered a severe stroke, after which he experienced health problems.
The cause of death has not been officially announced.
