In the 22nd round of the Kazakhstan Premier League, Kostanay's Tobol secured a 2:0 away victory over Pavlodar's Irtysh. The match took place at the Central Stadium in Pavlodar and ended in defeat for the home side, reports infohub.kz.
The first goal came in the 23rd minute: French defender Ryan Senaji scored for Tobol after a pass from Kazakh midfielder Askhat Tagybergen.
In the second half, at the 52nd minute, Belarusian forward Vitaly Lisakovich doubled the visitors' lead. Sixteen minutes later, Tobol were reduced to ten men: Croatian defender Antonio Borsic received a second yellow card and was sent off. In stoppage time, the Pavlodar side also finished with ten men.
This win allowed Tobol to collect 25 points and rise to ninth place in the Kazakhstan championship standings. Irtysh remain at the bottom of the KPL table with 17 points.
