President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqaev met with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit, the presidential press service said, according to infohub.kz.

Qasym-Jomart Toqaev highlighted the historic significance of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's visit to Astana, during which a substantial package of documents was signed, giving a powerful boost to the development of bilateral relations.

"Our cooperation is truly multifaceted and covers a wide range of areas. We will continue to make every effort to maintain and further develop our joint work," the President of Kazakhstan said.

The sides discussed the progress of several major investment projects already successfully underway in energy, transport and logistics, information technology and agriculture. It was noted that these projects will help advance economic interaction and increase bilateral trade.

Following the meeting, the two countries reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening close cooperation.

Qasym-Jomart Toqaev conveyed his best wishes to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and said he looked forward to his visit to Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Toqaev had arrived in New Delhi to attend the 18th BRICS Summit.
