President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqaev signed decrees appointing ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia, Georgia, and Brunei Darussalam, infohub.kz reports.
According to the presidential press service's Telegram channel, Malik Murzalin was appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia. He was simultaneously relieved of his post as ambassador to Georgia.
According to embassy data, Malik Murzalin was born on October 31, 1971, in Aktobe. In 1996, he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He began his career at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation. Over the years, he worked in the akimat of North Kazakhstan Region, the Presidential Administration, and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Religious Affairs. He served as akim of Akmola Region. Before his appointment as Kazakhstan's ambassador to Georgia, he was deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Talghat Aduov replaced him as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Georgia. The corresponding decree was signed.
His biography states that he was born on March 20, 1976. He graduated from Marmara University in Turkey with a degree in economics. He worked in various committees and departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He also served as deputy chairman of the board of KazAvtoZhol National Company JSC, deputy head of the Prime Minister's Office, and first vice president of the Otandastar Foundation.
In addition, by decree of the head of state, Bulat Sugurbayev no longer represents Kazakhstan in Malaysia. He was appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the country to Brunei Darussalam on a concurrent basis.
