President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Minister for Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov, reports infohub.kz.

During the meeting, the head of state heard a report on the ministry's performance, the progress of modernizing the civil protection system, and plans for the upcoming period, according to the Akorda press service.

Chingis Arinov reported on strengthening the material and technical base of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. According to him, over the past two years, units have received more than 1,400 pieces of equipment, aviation, modern rescue gear, unmanned aerial vehicles, and communication tools. This has significantly improved response times to emergencies across the country. At the same time, renovation of emergency ministry units is underway.

The minister also spoke about expanding the network of units, creating new universal rescue formations, and aviation and maritime detachments. Under the "Aul Kutkargyshylyry" program, 237 volunteer fire posts have been built, protecting about 700 settlements.

Furthermore, the development of the emergency mass notification system continues, the capabilities of the Situation Center are being expanded, and early detection systems for natural fires are being integrated.

The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations also informed about measures of social support for ministry employees. Housing payments are provided. A project for a specialized housing cluster for ministry employees is being implemented, which involves the construction of residential premises with necessary infrastructure near fire stations and rescue bases.

The President positively assessed the ministry's work on improving the civil protection system. He instructed, together with local executive bodies, to continue work on strengthening the material and technical base of district and rural rescue units, introducing modern technologies, and improving fire safety levels.
