Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev held a series of brief meetings with heads of state and international organizations on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi, infohub.kz reports.

According to the Akorda press service, the head of state spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus, World Trade Organization Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Thai Deputy Prime Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow.

"The talks focused on prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in various areas, as well as interaction within international formats," the Akorda statement said.
