President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has said he will take personal control of construction quality in the country. He made the statement while addressing participants of the Taza Qazaqstan campaign, according to infohub.kz.
The head of state noted that schools, hospitals, cultural and sports facilities are being built in the regions, and roads and railways are being laid. According to him, this work will continue.
"It is necessary to ensure the highest quality of construction. I will pay the closest attention to this issue and keep it under strict personal control," Tokayev said.
The president added that those who violate construction requirements and established rules will be held accountable in accordance with the law. He named improving the quality of life and creating comfortable conditions for the country's residents as the goal of this work.
Tokayev also noted the development of Astana and the work of the capital's akim, Zhenis Kassymbek, and his team. The president separately highlighted the capital's Urbanistics Center, which develops proposals for creating a comfortable urban environment. According to him, the center takes into account residents' opinions and wishes when preparing projects.
"The experience of this institution should be scaled up in other regions. Akims need to step up work in this direction," the head of state said.
Tokayev called on Kazakh citizens and foreigners to keep public places clean and comply with the law. In his opinion, this will help make the principles of Taza Qazaqstan part of everyday life.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Tokayev, together with young people and environmental activists, planted trees in the Presidential Park and called the formation of an ecological culture a task enshrined in the Constitution. According to the Ministry of Ecology, over the entire period of implementation of Taza Qazaqstan, more than 2,000 events have been held in the country, over 3.8 million tons of waste have been collected, and about 10,000 landfills have been eliminated.
