President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has dismissed Asker Kurmangaliyevich Beisenov from the post of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The corresponding decree of the head of state was published by the Akorda, infohub.kz reports.

"By decree of the head of state, Beisenov Asker Kurmangaliyevich has been relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the official statement reads.

According to information posted on the Ministry of Defense website, Asker Beisenov was born on October 12, 1978, in the city of Petropavlovsk. In 1999, he graduated from the Yaroslavl Higher Military Financial School with a degree in Financial Support of Troops and Economics of Military Economy. In 2002, he received an education at the Kazakh Humanitarian and Law University with a degree in Jurisprudence, and in 2014 he completed his studies at the Financial Academy with a degree in Management.

In the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, Colonel Asker Beisenov rose from a cadet at the B. Momyshuly Republican Military Boarding School to the head of the Department of Economics and Finance of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the years, he has held responsible positions in the field of budget planning, finance, and audit, and has also served in the diplomatic corps abroad.

On April 24, 2023, by decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Asker Beisenov was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Recall that after the tragedy during exercises in Mangistau, personnel changes occurred in the leadership of Kazakhstan's defense department. Dauren Kosanov was relieved of his post as Minister of Defense, and Aidos Myrzakhmetov was appointed in his place. In addition, in recent days, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed a first deputy minister of defense — chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who became Aitkurman Omarbekov.
