At a meeting of the Kazakhstan-Belgium Business Council, President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqaev said what kind of foreigners the country welcomes, reports infohub.kz.

According to the head of state, Kazakhstan is paying special attention to increasing productivity, expanding agricultural processing, and efficiently using water and land resources. These areas, the President believes, open up opportunities for joint projects.

In addition, Qasym-Jomart Toqaev called it important to strengthen partnerships in medicine and pharmaceuticals.

"We welcome cooperation with IBA aimed at expanding access to proton therapy in Kazakhstan. Joint programs for training specialists and conducting clinical trials will strengthen our competencies in advanced cancer treatment methods. We invite Belgian pharmaceutical companies to establish production in Kazakhstan," the President said.

The head of state also emphasized that Kazakhstan is interested in attracting smart and enterprising people who are ready to work together with the country's citizens.

"The more such people come to our country, the better for all of us, as it helps strengthen both interpersonal and professional contacts. In Kazakhstan, such interaction is highly valued. As President of Kazakhstan, I value above all the intellectual abilities of people who come to our country, not their ethnicity," said Qasym-Jomart Toqaev.
