President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with school and university students who won prizes at international Olympiads at the Akorda residence. The ceremony brought together 21 laureates, along with their teachers and mentors. Among them were 6 gold, 11 silver, and 4 bronze medalists in subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer science, geography, and linguistics. The head of state congratulated the talented youth on their outstanding achievements in academic competitions and expressed his sincere appreciation, reports infohub.kz.
"You have demonstrated the highest level of knowledge in competition with the best students in the world and rightfully earned top places in prestigious intellectual contests. Your efforts have raised our sky-blue flag high and strengthened Kazakhstan's international standing. The bright future of Kazakhstan lies in the hands of talented, educated, and capable youth. Each of you is a true source of pride for our country!" the President emphasized.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that every medal, earned through hard work, is priceless and significant.
"The ability to tirelessly study and prepare day after day, month after month, to achieve a lofty goal is a true manifestation of deep self-discipline and a strong will. The great Abai once said: 'Үш-ақ нәрсе адамның қасиеті: ыстық қайрат, нұрлы ақыл, жылы жүрек' ('Only three things are inherent to a person: hot passion, bright mind, and warm heart'). Soon you will become skilled engineers, prominent scientists, and true professionals in your fields. I am confident that you will create advanced technologies and make discoveries that will contribute to the prosperity of our Motherland and make a significant contribution to global progress," he added.
