According to the Akorda, Kazakh Air Force fighter jets escorted the Omani sultan's aircraft from the moment it entered Kazakh airspace until it arrived at the capital's airport. An honor guard and the presidential orchestra were lined up on the tarmac to greet the distinguished guest.

The Akorda said the two leaders held a brief conversation in the airport's arrival hall. Qasym-Jomart Toqaev welcomed the Omani sultan's visit, emphasizing its historic significance for the development of bilateral relations.

"Oman is well known as a successful state that has achieved significant results in economic development and plays a very active and constructive role as an international mediator. Your country enjoys well-deserved authority not only in its region but also far beyond, including in Kazakhstan. I am confident that the partnership between our countries has significant potential that must be fully unlocked and effectively realized," the Kazakh president said.

Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said thanked Qasym-Jomart Toqaev for the warm welcome and expressed confidence that the upcoming talks would be substantive and successful.

The visit program includes high-level talks, the signing of several important documents, and the participation of the heads of state in a Kazakh-Omani business forum.
