President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the citizens of Kazakhstan with a congratulatory message on the occasion of Labor Day, which is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of September, reports infohub.kz.
"Dear compatriots! I congratulate you on Labor Day! This holiday is a manifestation of our respect for people of various professions — for those who, with their talent, intelligence, and hard work, daily create the present and future of Kazakhstan," the Akorda quoted the president as saying.
According to the head of state, modern times place high demands on such an exceptionally important quality as professionalism. Competence, responsibility, diligence, and discipline have become an integral part of the socio-economic development successes of many countries, and Kazakhstan is no exception.
"The proverb found in the languages of most peoples is absolutely true: 'Patience and labor will grind everything down.' Labor is, in essence, the key to achieving success in life. Any work is honorable and should be treated with due respect," the president said.
In his congratulation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan has entered a new historical cycle. "We face large-scale tasks. The main guideline on our path to achieving the country's sustainable development goals is the Constitution and the ideas formulated in it of a Just Kazakhstan, the rule of law, unity and accord, diligence and progress, and respect for nature," he noted.
The formula "Responsible person — Honest work — Deserved success" has become an important part of public ethics. Last year was held in Kazakhstan under the auspices of the Year of Working Professions, which significantly strengthened the role of mentorship, labor dynasties, and, in general, the authority of the working person.
The president assured that the country will continue to create all conditions for citizens' self-realization. It is important to pass on to the youth professional knowledge and skills, the life experience and wisdom of the older generation, and to cultivate in them a deep understanding of creation as the highest value and key factor of development.
"I am convinced that thanks to the solidarity and unity of our nation, united by a common goal, we will be able to build a country where the ideas of justice, love for nature, legality, progress, and, of course, diligence are implemented in practice. I wish you, dear fellow citizens, good health, well-being, and new labor successes! May our Motherland prosper!" the head of state concluded.
