Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev has sent a congratulatory telegram to South Korean President Lee Jae Myung on the occasion of the Republic of Korea's National Day, infohub.kz reports.
The head of state noted the unity of the Korean people and recalled that following recent talks in Seoul, relations between the two countries had reached an entirely new level.
"During my recent visit to Seoul, we elevated bilateral relations to the level of a future-oriented comprehensive strategic partnership. I am confident that this decision will help deepen Kazakh-Korean cooperation, built on bonds of friendship and solid partnership, for the benefit of our peoples," the telegram reads.
The president also stressed that this date symbolizes the rich historical and cultural heritage, national unity and cohesion of the Korean people. He further noted the steady progress of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Toqaev wished Lee Jae Myung success in his demanding work and prosperity and well-being to the Korean people.
Recall that in Seoul, Qasym-Jomart Toqaev held a meeting with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo of the Republic of Korea. At the meeting, he proposed doubling trade turnover with Korea and preparing a program through 2030, as well as developing peaceful nuclear energy in Kazakhstan.
