Yerzhan Sadenov has retained his post as Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan. The corresponding decree was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as reported by infohub.kz.
The official statement from Akorda reads: "By decree of the Head of State, Yerzhan Saparbekovich Sadenov has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
According to information from the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Sadenov graduated from the East Kazakhstan State University named after S. Amanzholov in 1993, and in 1998 from the Karaganda Higher School of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 1993 to 2009, he served in internal affairs units of the East Kazakhstan region, rising from senior operational officer to head of a territorial department.
From 2009 to 2022, he held positions as deputy head and head of transport police departments, as well as in the Mangistau and Akmola regions and the city of Nur-Sultan.
From 2022 to 2023, he served as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, and since September 2023, he has held the post of Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is worth recalling that Dauren Kosanov also retained his post as Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, and Mukhtar Tleuberdi was reappointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
