President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev and a delegation from the United Arab Emirates discussed G42's potential participation in building the ecosystem of the Data Center Valley in Ekibastuz, the Akorda press service reported. The meeting also covered joint transport and digital projects, according to infohub.kz.
The delegation included UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Health, as well as Mansour Al Mansouri, CEO of G42 International.
Toqaev noted the special nature of Kazakhstan-UAE relations, built on friendship, mutual trust and strategic partnership. The Emirates are among the top ten largest foreign investors in Kazakhstan. In 2025, direct investment inflows from the UAE reached $1.64 billion, a 3.5-fold increase.
The president conveyed greetings to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and to Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In the transport and logistics sector, the sides discussed the implementation of joint projects with AD Ports Group, the development of port infrastructure and the fleet in the Caspian Sea, and the strengthening of the Middle Corridor.
They also separately reviewed prospects for the Trans-Afghan Corridor and long-term partnership in maritime, rail, road and air transport.
Another area of the talks was artificial intelligence and digitalization. Toqaev praised cooperation with Presight AI in developing supercomputer infrastructure, implementing Smart City projects and creating a national traffic video monitoring system.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities of G42's participation in creating a large-scale ecosystem of the Data Center Valley in Ekibastuz.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that General Atlantic has expressed a strong interest in participating in the Data Center Valley project in Ekibastuz. At a meeting with the president, the company also presented opportunities for investment in fintech, e-commerce, software, artificial intelligence, and energy and digital infrastructure.
NVIDIA plans to participate in the next phase of the Data Center Valley. The project envisages the creation of infrastructure with a capacity of about 300 MW, with the possibility of expansion to 1 GW. Two supercomputer clusters based on NVIDIA technologies have already been launched in Kazakhstan.
Also at the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 exhibition, Toqaev was presented with the AI-Enabled University model based on Qazaq AI Research University, the Trusted Kazakhstan and ALFA projects, new Aitu features, and intelligent solutions from Samruk-Kazyna and Higgsfield.ai.
