A child's future begins at the school desk, so it is important for teachers to explain to children the value of knowledge and hard work. President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqaev said this on October 5 at a meeting with educators in the Akorda, according to infohub.kz.
The head of state noted that children need opportunities for self-realization in adult life. According to him, hopes for success alone are not enough — one must study and work on oneself already at school.
"Life is not a fairy-tale world full of wonders. Deep knowledge and experience can help a person on their life's path. It is important to convey this simple truth to the younger generation," Toqaev said.
He called the upbringing of a generation that strives for knowledge and is capable of contributing to the country's development a strategic goal. The President assigned a special role in this to school teachers: according to him, it is from them that children learn to be open, educated, law-abiding and responsible citizens.
Toqaev also spoke about the need to protect children in everyday life and in the virtual space. At the same time, he stressed, it is important to give them real opportunities for the future, rather than limiting them to prohibitions.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote about how much educators earn in Kazakhstan.
