Tom Hardy, the actor known for his roles in "Mad Max" and "The Dark Knight Rises," has surprised fans by releasing a rap album recorded with the hip-hop group Czarface. Under the alias Frankie Pulitzer, he has put out the record "Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer," reports infohub.kz.
It turns out Hardy has been into rap for a long time: he started rapping at the age of 14 or 15 and over the years has accumulated many recordings that he had not previously released. Now one such project has finally seen the light of day.
On Friday, the album "Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer" was released, featuring members of the underground group Czarface — 7L, Esoteric, and Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan. Hardy did not limit himself to a simple appearance: in the songs, he raps, using references to comics, film, and literature. The lyrics mention Green Goblin, Thor, Doctor Doom, Stephen King, and Shakespeare.
For example, in the track "Raw Forever," the actor recalls the Green Goblin and Willem Dafoe, who played Norman Osborn in Marvel films. And in the track "Grim-Visaged War," Hardy delivers a monologue from Shakespeare's "Richard III," in a voice reminiscent of his character Bane from "The Dark Knight Rises."
The album also features Busta Rhymes and Method Man. For Hardy, rap is not a casual hobby: as far back as 2011, he told the BBC that he had recorded many tracks but had not released them. At the time, the actor admitted that music had always been an important part of his life, although it was difficult to pursue it professionally.
