President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Toqaev received the Chairman of the Management Board of Baiterek Holding, Rustam Karagoshin, who presented a report on the implementation of the President's instructions, the holding's performance, and key directions for its further development, as reported by infohub.kz.

During the meeting, Rustam Karagoshin reported that Baiterek's investment and credit portfolios reached 14.3 trillion tenge. According to forecasts, this figure will increase to 16.5 trillion tenge. The holding's annual net profit exceeds 400 billion tenge.

According to the head of the holding, by the end of 2025, thanks to support measures, housing was provided to 77,500 families, including 11,600 citizens who were on the waiting list.

He also spoke about support for businesses and the agro-industrial complex. Last year, financing was provided to 77 large projects and 27,400 small and medium-sized business projects. Support was given to 131 exporters and 7,200 agricultural producers, and 11,400 units of agricultural machinery were leased for spring field work.

Rustam Karagoshin also reported on the transformation of the holding and its new long-term development strategy. "The project envisages a transition to a proactive investment holding model focused on effective asset management, creating conditions for strong businesses, and improving the quality of life of the population," the presented report said.

In addition, the head of Baiterek announced the implementation of several investment initiatives. By the end of this year, 26 projects aimed at import substitution, export development, and infrastructure are planned to be submitted for consideration to the Investment Council.

Following the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of ensuring sustainable economic growth and attracting long-term investments. He also instructed to strengthen support for small and medium-sized businesses and pay special attention to increasing housing affordability for citizens.
