Kazakh President Qasym-Jomart Toqaev proposed to Chinese partners the creation of a space where goods cross borders as quickly as data travels via the internet, reports infohub.kz.
The head of state made this statement during a meeting with representatives of leading Chinese companies.
According to the president, Kazakhstan's key logistics project is the Smart Cargo platform. It is a single digital window that integrates customs, logistics, and commercial services into a unified digital environment.
"I believe Kazakhstan and China can jointly set new global standards that enhance the efficiency of international trade. I invite Chinese companies in technology, logistics, and infrastructure investors to actively participate in this large-scale initiative," Toqaev said.
The head of state also emphasized that Kazakhstan should become the main transport and logistics hub linking China with Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and Europe. He called this a strategic goal.
"Currently, 13 international transport corridors pass through Kazakhstan. About 85% of rail freight between China and Europe goes through Kazakhstan," the president reminded.
Furthermore, Toqaev noted that the competitiveness of transport corridors in the modern world depends on data exchange speed, the level of digital integration, and logistics transparency.
