On the sidelines of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, President of Kazakhstan Qasym-Jomart Toqaev met with Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Manet, during which the Kazakh leader was invited to pay an official visit to Cambodia, reports infohub.kz.

As reported by Akorda, Toqaev noted that Kazakhstan highly values its partnership with Cambodia, built on strong ties of friendship and mutual respect. He emphasized the great potential for giving positive momentum to trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Among the most promising areas for increasing trade turnover, the head of state highlighted agriculture, textile industry, tourism, construction, food industry, transport and logistics. Kazakhstan is ready to increase supplies of grain, fertilizers and other agricultural products.

In addition, Kazakhstan, which is among the top 24 countries in the UN E-Government Development Index, is ready to share its experience in advanced technologies.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet confirmed his country's interest in strengthening relations with Kazakhstan. He noted the importance of intensifying ties between governments and business circles, and expressed readiness to fully support the implementation of joint projects.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on cooperation within global and regional frameworks. Toqaev thanked Cambodia for its support of the activities of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and informed the prime minister about Astana's initiative to establish an International Water Organization under the UN.

At the end of the meeting, Hun Manet invited the Kazakh president to visit Cambodia at a convenient time.
