Starting September 11, temporary restrictions will be imposed on large and heavy vehicles on a section of the Almaty-Bishkek highway, reports infohub.kz.

KazAvtoZhol National Company warned that construction works to install a monolithic span of a transport interchange will be carried out at the 25th kilometer of the Almaty-Bishkek highway, near the city of Kaskelen. Therefore, from September 11, traffic will be temporarily restricted for vehicles exceeding 4.5 meters in height and 8 meters in width on this section.

The restriction will remain in effect until the completion of construction works, i.e., until the end of 2026. It does not apply to passenger cars, buses, or trucks that do not exceed the specified dimensions.

Drivers of large and heavy vehicles are advised to plan their routes in advance and use alternative routes. Road users are asked to understand the temporary restrictions.
