A tragedy occurred in the city of Ridder, East Kazakhstan region: a 13-year-old girl riding a sports motorcycle died after hitting a rope used to tether a horse. The incident happened near a residential building, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Department of Police of East Kazakhstan region, it was preliminarily established that the teenager suffered fatal injuries after hitting a rope tied to a post. The girl died at the scene from her injuries. Another minor, a 15-year-old passenger, was hospitalized.
In connection with this incident, the Ridder city police department has opened a criminal case under the article on causing death by negligence. All circumstances of the incident are currently being established. The owner of the animal has been identified and taken to the police department.
The police noted that the progress of the investigation is under the control of the head of the Department of Police of East Kazakhstan region. Law enforcement officers remind owners of farm animals to strictly follow livestock grazing rules: grazing and driving animals near highways is prohibited.
