US President Donald Trump has threatened to launch airstrikes on Iran if the two sides fail to reach an agreement and sign a deal. The White House chief made the statement during a press conference, according to infohub.kz.
According to the American leader, the time to make a decision on Iran is rapidly approaching. "Maybe we'll bomb them. We have to make that decision. We'll bomb them or we'll make a deal. Time is approaching. Either way, it will end very soon," RIA Novosti quoted Trump as saying.
It is noted that the US president did not rule out the possibility of resuming American strikes on Iran, stressing that he always considers such an option.
Earlier, Donald Trump had already stated that the war with Iran would end in the "very near future." According to him, the Islamic Republic will suffer serious setbacks.
Before that, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran is ready both for negotiations and for a new military conflict with the United States. However, the day before, media reports emerged that Qatari representatives were unable to achieve a breakthrough this week in resolving the conflict between the US and Iran — the talks reached a dead end.
Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it is ready to use new weapons in the event of new military aggression from the United States.
