US President Donald Trump said he would defend SpaceX founder Elon Musk if Democrats win the elections and launch an investigation into the businessman, infohub.kz reports.
According to RBC, citing Bloomberg, the White House chief stressed: "If I needed to, of course. I wouldn't even hesitate."
Trump noted that former US President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter and several administration officials before leaving office, who in his view could have faced retaliation from the new administration.
Earlier, Politico reported that the US Democratic Party leadership intends to launch an investigation into Elon Musk if the party wins the midterm congressional elections. The report said the probe could be linked to restrictions on Starlink's operations in Ukraine, as well as the businessman's work as head of DOGE.
