US President Donald Trump has again said he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, but stressed that he does not need it. He made the remark while answering journalists' questions about the upcoming award ceremony, according to infohub.kz.
According to the White House chief, he does not need the Nobel Peace Prize to have his contributions to maintaining international stability recognized.
"I ended eight wars. I brought back all the hostages. I saved millions of lives. Whether I get the prize or not, I have done far more," Trump said.
He also recalled statements by a previous laureate, Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. According to Trump, she said that "no one in history deserves this award more than President Trump."
In addition, the American leader noted that if the Nobel Committee does not award him the prize, that decision will be a "big miss" for them.
