Donald Trump has indicated he is not ruling out another bid for the US presidency, as he refuses to accept the legitimacy of the 2020 election results, infohub.kz reports.
According to CNN, President Donald Trump told Iowans that he believes he could run for a third term, though he acknowledged that the law says otherwise.
"I think I'm entitled to run again. I think I'm entitled to run again because they cheated," he said, referring to his claim of widespread fraud in the 2020 election.
As the network notes, Trump has repeatedly hinted at the possibility of a third run, though at other times he has flatly ruled it out.
"I guess the law says — I'm not 100% sure, but I guess the law says I can't run again. I've studied that provision," he said, referring to the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, which limits any one person to being elected president twice.
But just minutes later he said he was entitled to run even a fourth time, claiming his 2020 election victory had been stolen from him.
"They rigged the election. They rigged that election. And we did so well," Trump added.
