US President Donald Trump hopes to secure a peace agreement on Ukraine at the G20 summit, which will take place at the Trump National Doral golf complex in Miami, infohub.kz reports.

According to NUR.KZ, citing The Atlantic, sources told the publication that the American leader wants the Ukraine peace agreement to be concluded specifically at the G20 summit scheduled for December 14–15 at the Trump National Doral golf complex in Miami.

The Atlantic's interlocutors note that Trump sees himself as a mediator between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in signing the peace agreement, "even if he has to resort to pressure on Ukraine."

A Ukrainian official, speaking to journalists on condition of anonymity, said that the Ukrainian side feels sidelined from decisions that will determine the country's future.

"It feels like all of this is happening without our involvement," he said.
