Tree Falls on Car with People on Jetisu Highway

On the Taldykorgan-Tekeli highway in the Jetisu region, a tree fell on a moving Toyota Camry, injuring the driver, reports infohub.kz.

The incident occurred on July 21 on the Karabulak-Tekeli road section near the Omir Bulak area. Due to strong wind gusts, the tree crashed onto the roadway and onto the passing vehicle.

According to the Jetisu Regional Department of Emergency Situations, there were five people inside the car. "The driver sustained injuries in the incident. No one was trapped in the vehicle," the department said.

After the accident, rescuers sawed up the fallen tree, cleared the road, and ensured safe traffic flow. The Eskeldi District akimat reported that the injured driver was taken to the Eskeldi Central District Hospital. "The driver's condition is assessed as stable," the district akimat said.

Rescuers urged drivers to exercise caution in strong winds, maintain a safe speed, and be aware of the risk of falling trees and other objects on the road.
