Tropical Storm Julio formed in the Pacific Ocean and is not threatening land, forecasters said. This was reported by infohub.kz.
According to the Miami-based National Hurricane Center, the storm was located about 815 miles (1,312 kilometers) southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula of Mexico on Tuesday. The storm had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph (72 kph).
Forecasters said Julio was expected to strengthen slightly before being absorbed by the stronger Tropical Storm Iselle, which is located to the north. There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect for either storm.
Iselle was about 660 miles (1,062 kilometers) west of the Baja California peninsula and had winds of 70 mph (113 kph).
In the Central Pacific, Tropical Storm Lala continued to churn with 50 mph (80 kph) winds but was not threatening land. Earlier this month, the outer bands of Lala battered Hawaii and caused destructive flooding.
And Moke was no longer considered a tropical cyclone after skirting Hawaii as a tropical storm, the center said.
