In the Akmola region, police stopped a driver who had installed a fake state license plate on a truck, reports infohub.kz.
As noted by the regional police department's press service, special attention is paid to trucks whose drivers try to evade detection of violations by using fake plates.
According to police, such a decision is pointless because cameras automatically record vehicles, and discrepancies in license plates are detected during checks.
Thus, on August 20, on the Astana-Karaganda-Almaty highway, patrol police officers noticed a Shacman truck. They paid attention to the license plate, which aroused suspicion.
It turned out that this same vehicle had previously been recorded by cameras with a fake license plate. The driver was stopped. He admitted that he had installed a different plate himself to avoid liability for exceeding the permissible gross weight and other possible violations.
The driver was issued two citations - one for driving a vehicle with a fake license plate and another for installing it.
