A journalist from the pool of the President of Kazakhstan, Adil Baltabaev, spoke about a late-night phone call from Donald Trump to his subordinate, during which the American leader sent greetings to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, reports infohub.kz.

Earlier, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Chairman of the House Budget Committee, Jason Smith, as well as Congressmen Greg Murphy, Carol Miller, Ronnie Jackson, Wesley Bell, and Edward Case. Adil Baltabaev, who attended the meeting as a media representative, cited Smith's words about the call from Donald Trump. According to him, the White House chief called him at two in the morning to "send greetings to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev."

"Today at two in the morning, I received a call from President Donald Trump. I told him that I would be meeting with you in a few hours. He asked me to convey his warmest wishes and expressed gratitude for the trusting and constructive relationship that has developed between you," the journalist quoted Smith as saying.

According to the congressman, Trump also said he looks forward to seeing Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Miami at the G20 summit.
