US President Donald Trump said he has suspended military strikes on Iran at the request of Middle Eastern countries, reports infohub.kz.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote that the US was ready to fight Iran with "a level of military terror, force, and power not seen since World War II." However, he said Iran and other regional countries asked to refrain from an attack, as the terms of a deal had been agreed upon.
The agreement, Trump claims, includes the immediate, full, and total opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the end of Iran's nuclear threat. "Based on this request, I agreed, for the good of the whole world and, accordingly, for the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack on the condition of a quick deal. Israel joins me in this commitment. Get to work, everyone, and do it!" the American leader wrote.
