US President Donald Trump said the United States has vast ammunition reserves, denying media reports of depletion, according to infohub.kz.
In a post on his Truth Social account, the White House chief commented on reports of weapons shortages. "The United States has vast reserves of ammunition, especially of certain types. In addition, as needed, large quantities of new ammunition are being produced and delivered in the US. Defense companies are building a record number of plants and production facilities in our country," he wrote.
Trump also threatened prison terms for those who leak information about weapons shortages. "The people who are allowing these treacherous leaks of information are being actively sought right now. They will be seeking long prison sentences for them!" the president emphasized.
Earlier, CNN reported that the US had used up nearly 80% of its missile defense systems during the conflict with Iran. Later, the Washington Post, citing informed sources, wrote that Donald Trump had demanded explanations from the Pentagon over the depletion of military reserves. Reports of this began to appear as early as April.
