U.S. President Donald Trump announced a “historic” agreement on the complete disarmament of Hamas and other groups in the Gaza Strip, as reported by NUR.KZ.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said: “This agreement is a crucial step toward finally placing the Gaza Strip under the control of a new Palestinian government that will work closely with the Peace Council to help the Palestinian people. At the same time, Israel will receive the security it deserves, as Gaza will no longer be used as a base for terrorist attacks.”

Trump described the deal as a major milestone in the implementation of his 20-point plan. The agreement will be carried out in stages, following a meticulously developed schedule. “As disarmament progresses, Israeli forces will be withdrawn, and International Stabilization Forces, together with the new Palestinian police, will take responsibility for securing Gaza for its residents and neighboring countries,” Trump said.

In his post, he thanked Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey for serving as mediators.
