US President Donald Trump has expressed satisfaction over the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the United States to the United Kingdom, reports infohub.kz.

In an interview with American journalists, Trump said he was glad they were returning, noting that he was not a fan of theirs. He emphasized that he had good relations with the late Queen Elizabeth II and knew her quite closely, and has long-standing friendly ties with King Charles III, whom he knew as Prince Charles.

In the president's view, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex showed 'great disrespect' to the royal family. Trump criticized Meghan Markle's behavior, saying she 'played' and showed disrespect to the Queen and the King. He added that if he were the royal family, he would not take them back.

Earlier, it became known that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a family decision to temporarily return to the UK. On August 26, information appeared that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their children Archie and Lilibet, arrived in the country on a private flight from California.
