US President Donald Trump threatened that American forces would bomb Iranian bridges and power plants for every shot fired at ships in the Strait of Hormuz, reports infohub.kz.
The White House chief wrote on social media platform Truth Social: "From this moment, if the Islamic Republic of Iran opens fire on any vessel in the Strait of Hormuz — whether with a missile, rocket, drone, or any other weapon — the United States will strike and destroy a bridge or power plant, including those located near or in Tehran."
Earlier, Tehran reported that Iran's army struck HIMARS systems at a US base in Kuwait. The British Maritime Trade Operations Center said a projectile of unknown origin hit a tanker off the coast of Oman. The previous day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had destroyed a US fighter jet and damaged an Amazon data center.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg reported that the new UK prime minister allowed the use of British bases for US strikes on Iran. US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that costs for the conflict with Iran have so far reached $37.5 billion.
