Trump also commented on Iran's statements about control over the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that the region is already fully controlled by the US Navy and a "blockade" he called "the American steel wall." He warned that "nothing will get to Iran" without a deal or total capitulation.
The US president stressed that this is about solving a problem Iran has created for decades, and stated: "Iran will never have a nuclear weapon."
