US President Donald Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House immediately after speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, reports website infohub.kz.
The official Russian-language Telegram channel of the Israeli prime minister published a photo from the meeting. "I am now meeting at the White House with my friend, US President Donald Trump," the message said.
According to CNN, the Israeli prime minister left the White House at 12:25 p.m. Eastern time after the meeting, which began at 11:03 a.m. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on social media platform X: "President Trump concluded meetings in the Oval Office with President Zelensky and Prime Minister Netanyahu. Both meetings were positive and productive!"
Like the meeting with Zelensky, the discussion with Netanyahu took place without the press present.
Earlier, Israeli media reported that Netanyahu stated his intention to keep Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops in Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon despite US demands. Last week, CNN reported that Netanyahu had been unable to secure a meeting with Trump for several weeks. The Israeli prime minister himself acknowledged disagreements with the US leader, and previously stated that Israel's economy is strong and does not need US financial aid.
Sources from the Trump administration reported that during one phone call, Trump used profanity toward Netanyahu and reminded him of the long-running legal process.
