US President Donald Trump has ordered American officials to lift restrictions on the disclosure of information about UFOs, reports infohub.kz.
According to Fox News Digital, citing sources, President Trump directed federal agencies to cancel previously signed nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) with former government employees and contractors who participated in investigations of unidentified anomalous phenomena.
"President Trump recently instructed the Department of Defense and the intelligence community to allow former government employees or contractors with relevant information to meet with designated government representatives to terminate earlier NDAs," a senior administration official said.
Officials said the government side will be represented at the meetings by the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which was established by the Pentagon to investigate UFOs and other unidentified anomalous phenomena.
According to officials, years of congressional investigations, whistleblower statements, and recently declassified documents have raised questions about whether some participants in the investigations provided incomplete information, believing that earlier NDAs prevented them from testifying in government probes.
In May, the Pentagon opened access to classified files on UFOs and anomalous phenomena. Reports said the information would be released in stages. Some previously classified materials were also published in June.
