U.S. President Donald Trump said in a Fox News interview that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is allegedly ready to strike a peace deal with Ukraine, reports infohub.kz.
Fox News journalist Trey Yingst published a clip of the conversation with the White House chief on social media platform X. Yingst asked whether Trump believes the Ukraine conflict will end during his presidency. The American leader answered affirmatively: "I think so."
The correspondent then asked Trump what he would say to Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the war. Trump replied: "I would say the same thing I always say: 'Vladimir, it's time to stop, it's time to end this war.' I think he is ready for a deal."
When asked about a possible timeline for a deal, Trump replied simply: "Soon."
