U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are planning to meet in Washington on July 28, according to an unnamed White House official cited by Reuters and reported by infohub.kz.
The talks are scheduled for Tuesday, the source said. “U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky plan to meet in Washington on Tuesday,” Reuters quoted the official as saying.
Earlier, Zelensky said he had held discussions with Steve Witkoff, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy, and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law. The Ukrainian leader did not disclose details of that meeting.
On July 8, Trump stated that a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could take place in the near future, adding that the sides could move to direct dialogue under appropriate conditions.
The White House has not officially released the agenda for the upcoming Trump-Zelensky talks. One of the key topics is expected to be the situation in Ukraine and further cooperation between Washington and Kyiv.
