On Thursday, July 16, a northwestern cyclone and associated atmospheric fronts will bring unstable weather to western, northern, central, and eastern regions of Kazakhstan, according to infohub.kz.

These areas will see rain with thunderstorms, locally heavy, possible hail and squalls. In the west, daytime temperatures will drop to +22…+35 °C, in the north to +21…+36 °C, while central and eastern regions will remain extremely hot at up to +41 °C. In the south, southeast, and some southwestern areas, a heat wave from Central Asia continues: mostly dry, only brief thundery showers in mountainous southeastern areas. Daytime temperatures will reach +41…+46 °C in places.

Storm warning: rain is forecast in the north of North Kazakhstan Region, Akmola and Pavlodar regions. Overcast with light precipitation in Astana, Karaganda and northern Kostanay regions, as well as in Ulytau region. Wind gusts of 10–15 m/s expected in Ulytau, Karaganda, Akmola and Pavlodar regions. Fog possible in the northeast of North Kazakhstan Region.
