American journalist Tucker Carlson has said the United States could soon carry out a nuclear strike on Iran. He made the claim in a post on his X account, according to infohub.kz.

According to Carlson, under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration could strike Iran with nuclear weapons within days. The target would be Mount Pickax in central Iran. Israeli intelligence claims that the Iranian government has resumed its uranium enrichment program there. The US arsenal has no conventional weapon capable of penetrating roughly 90 meters of solid granite and destroying the tunnels where enrichment is believed to be taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike, and Netanyahu is actively pushing for it.

Sources cited by the journalist say Netanyahu is applying maximum pressure on his closest allies in the administration, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. "Both oppose a peaceful settlement of the conflict they themselves have waged extremely unsuccessfully, and both insist on resuming large-scale hostilities. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu's line — as, for that matter, are the leaders of the Democratic Party," the journalist claims.

His post says other US allies in the Middle East are "horrified at the prospect of the war continuing." According to his information, the Gulf states are on the brink of collapse, and global energy and fertilizer markets are also in a difficult position.

According to the journalist, there are only about 850 supertankers in the world carrying oil from producers to consumers. In October alone, 11 of them were seriously damaged in the Strait of Hormuz area. "Under such a scenario, a global depression is inevitable. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the catastrophe. Radioactive fallout after a ground burst near Mount Pickax would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning water sources for 100 million people. And these are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is in just as much danger. No country other than the United States has ever used nuclear weapons in combat. A US nuclear strike on Iran would set a dangerous precedent. After the first nuclear strike, World War III would become inevitable. That war would be short — and final," Carlson writes.

According to his information, Trump will most likely decide whether to use nuclear weapons by November 7. Carlson says Trump is currently listening to Vice President JD Vance, who believes a deal can be reached with Iran.

"There is one group of people who have still not been consulted — the people of this planet: hundreds of millions of people who could die along with their children if Netanyahu pushes Trump into a nuclear strike next week. Now is the time for them to make their position known," the journalist concluded.
