Police in Turkestan Region have held two people accountable over a traffic incident in which a passenger climbed onto the roof of a moving car to film a video, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to NUR.KZ, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, officers spotted the clip while monitoring social media: it showed a man standing on the roof of a moving vehicle and filming.
"Police checked the matter and established that the incident took place in Sayram District. The traffic violation was also recorded with a drone," the police said.
Following the check, administrative measures were taken against the 22-year-old driver and the 30-year-old passenger of the VAZ car for failing to comply with passenger transport rules. The vehicle was placed in a specialized impound lot.
In addition, the people involved were given a preventive talk explaining the requirements of the law and the consequences of failing to comply with traffic rules.
"Police remind the public that the desire to get spectacular videos should not put people's lives and health at risk. Such actions can lead to road accidents and cause irreparable consequences," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
