Comedian Tursynbek Kabatov spoke out on social media after a video featuring poet Zhursin Yerman went viral, according to Kazakh media.

He highlighted Yerman's contributions to Kazakh art and urged social media users not to jump to one-sided conclusions.

"It's all over, now is Uncle Zhursin still here? Few understand Kazakh art as well as our Uncle Zhursin. He has been unwell lately. Uncle, live to be 100. I want to tell many public pages: don't trample on the honor and dignity he has built over 40-50 years working for the people, without sorting out truth from lies. Instead, why don't you write: 'may our uncle's years be passed to Dimash'?" wrote Kabatov.

Earlier, a video of a meeting between Zhursin Yerman and singer Dimash Kudaibergen went viral on social media, sparking various debates among users.
