In the Zhambyl region, two brothers have been sentenced to community service for beating a man during a conflict over a blocked road, as reported by infohub.kz.
According to the official Telegram channel of the Zhambyl regional courts, the Zhambyl district court considered a criminal case against two brothers accused of assault committed by a group of persons (paragraph 4, part 2, article 109-1 of the Criminal Code).
The court established that in May 2026, the defendants, driving trucks, were transporting construction waste from a water amusement park in Taraz to a solid waste landfill in the Zhambyl district. Upon entering and subsequently leaving the landfill, a conflict arose between them and the driver of another truck over a blocked road.
During the quarrel, the men used physical force against the victim. According to the forensic examination, the victim sustained bodily injuries that did not cause harm to health.
The guilt was proven by the testimony of the parties, protocols of the scene inspection, and the forensic examination.
The prosecutor requested that the defendants be sentenced to 100 hours of community service each.
The defendants admitted their guilt, repented, and asked for forgiveness from the victim.
The victim asked that they be punished according to the law.
The court recognized as mitigating circumstances the admission of guilt, repentance, and the presence of minor children for both defendants.
No aggravating circumstances were established.
By the court's verdict, the defendants were found guilty under paragraph 4, part 2, article 109-1 of the Criminal Code, and each was sentenced to 100 hours of community service.
The verdict has entered into legal force.
