Two significant wildfires broke out simultaneously in the Akmola region, in the Bulandinsky and Tselinogradsky districts, reports infohub.kz.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in the Bulandinsky district, a forest floor fire occurred, and in the Tselinogradsky district, dry vegetation caught fire. Near the 26th passing loop station in the Bulandinsky district, the forest floor fire preliminarily covered an area of 5 hectares. Extinguishing efforts involved 100 personnel and 21 pieces of equipment from the Department of Emergency Situations, local executive bodies, the forestry management, and units of "Aul Kutkarushylary".

Aviation was also deployed in the firefighting efforts. A helicopter of JSC "Kazaviaspas" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations made 6 water drops, releasing 18 tons of water, while a Kazavialesokhrana helicopter performed 22 drops, totaling 13 tons of water. The fire was contained, and work is currently underway to fully extinguish it.

The second fire occurred near the village named after Ybyrai Altynsarin in the Tselinogradsky district, where dry grass was burning. This fire has been completely extinguished. Firefighting involved forces and resources of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Akmola region and the city of Astana — 47 personnel and 12 pieces of equipment.

No one was injured as a result of the fires. The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens to strictly comply with fire safety rules and to avoid careless handling of fire.
