At Almaty Airport, two passengers were removed from a flight to Astana during check-in for public order violations and alcohol intoxication, reports website infohub.kz.

According to the Transport Police Department, officers from the department, together with airline representatives, stopped the unlawful actions. The offenders were a 37-year-old resident of Almaty and a 26-year-old resident of the Turkestan Region. During check-in, both were intoxicated and disturbing public order, with the younger one using profane language.

First Deputy Head of the Transport Police Department Temirzhan Ramazanov said: "An administrative report was filed against one of the offenders for appearing in a public place while intoxicated. Since he had committed a similar offense before, the collected materials have been sent to court for a decision. The second passenger has been held accountable under two articles: for appearing in public while intoxicated and for petty hooliganism."
