In Almaty, two sets of triplets were born in August. The City Perinatal Center called this a rather rare event, reports infohub.kz.
The City Perinatal Center of the Almaty Health Department shared the news about the newborns on its Instagram page.
The first set of triplets — two boys and a girl — was born on August 17 to 27-year-old Moldir Sovetkhanova. "For the woman, this was her second pregnancy, which occurred naturally. The babies were born at 32 weeks of gestation via cesarean section. The newborns were named Aikhan, Aibyn, and Aiza. Their birth weights were 1800, 1480, and 1400 grams, respectively," the center specified.
It is noted that thanks to timely assistance, the condition of the triplets was stabilized. After treatment in the neonatal intensive care unit, the babies were transferred to the high-dependency unit, where they continue to be monitored and cared for. With the birth of the triplets, the family became large — now the parents have four children. At home, the babies are awaited by their father Alibek and their four-year-old older brother Aikyn.
"The second set of triplets was born on August 31 to Rakhat Bigeldiyeva. The children also arrived prematurely, at 32 weeks of gestation, via cesarean section. The family welcomed two girls and a boy. The parents named the children Akhmet, Halima, and Amina. The boy weighed 1998 grams at birth, and the girls weighed 1412 and 1347 grams, respectively," the center added.
Currently, Rakhat Bigeldiyeva's children are under the supervision of doctors in the neonatal intensive care unit. The babies are receiving necessary medical care and non-invasive respiratory support using a CPAP machine.
