Twenty children and one adult were killed in a road accident involving a school bus in Uganda, police said, as reported by infohub.kz.
Ugandan police spokesman Michael Kananura said on the official social media account X that the bus was taking students on an educational trip to Sipi Falls. On the return journey, the driver apparently lost control. The vehicle veered off the road, hit a large rock on the shoulder, and overturned.
The crash killed 20 students and one adult male. Three other adult males and several minors sustained injuries of varying severity.
The bodies of the victims have been taken to a morgue for identification procedures. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident has been launched.
